As a first-generation immigrant and graduate, Zaynab is committed to supporting and working with marginalized communities to build a brighter future. During law school, Zaynab participated in the NYU Immigrant Rights Clinic, spent her summers working at the ACLU’s Women’s Rights Project and the Bronx Defenders’ immigration practice, was Co-Chair of the Black Allied Law Students Association, served on the board of the Public Interest Law Students Association, and mentored high school girls through Law Women. Zaynab is excited to stay in Brooklyn as a Justice Fellow at Brooklyn Defenders Services and looks forward to building deeper community ties there.
