At Make the Road New York, Danelly worked on SIJS, U and T Visa, and removal defense cases, screened people at the immigration court’s “surge docket,” and conducted DACA workshops. At the Immigration Justice Clinic, she argued against a client’s deportability and for CAT relief. In the NYIFUP Unit at the Bronx Defenders, she worked on complex categorical issues and prepared Lora bond hearings. Currently, Danelly represents people charged with misdemeanor offenses in Manhattan Criminal Court. With Brooklyn Defender Services, Danelly does a combination of detained and non-detained removal defense and continues to work in the “crimm-imm” context.
